Fees & Policies
Trying to be transparent about the fine print.
Consultation
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to see if we are the right fit for each other. Afterwards, if we both agree to move forward, we can schedule our first session. Common reasons why I cannot move forward with a potential client are psychotic symptoms, acute suicidal ideation, or a therapy need or presentation far outside my expertise.
Insurance
I accept insurance from Aetna and United Healthcare. To help with the administrative tasks of accepting insurance, I partner with 3rd party organizations to work directly with your insurance provider.
Paying Out of Pocket
My fee for a 50 minute session is $150. I’m able to accept credit card payments or payments from your HSA and you will be charged at the conclusion of our session. I can provide a superbill for those interested in seeking reimbursement from their insurance provider.
No Surprise Billing
If you are a person receiving mental health therapy and not using insurance to cover the costs, you have a right by law to know what you’re going to be charged for the care you’re about to receive. A 50 minute session with me is $150 and that is what you can expect to be charged for each time.
Cancelation Policy
I require at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make our scheduled appointment. If the session is canceled by you within 24 hours of the appointment time you will incur a fee up to the full costs of the session.
